amarok
Dear all! On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas, I have prepared for you a new game based on Arcadia. This time the adventure is set in a winter world. In Arcadia Xmas Quest you can find 9 new levels and a new crazy bonus round. You will also hear 9 famous Christmas songs: "Carol of the Bells", "Deck the Halls", "Jingle Bells", "Jingle Bell Rock", "Let It Snow!", "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town", and "Sleigh Ride". The minimum requirements of the game is a stock Atari 8-bit with at least 48 kB of RAM. Since music takes up some memory, it is reloaded from a floppy disk during the gameplay. Like the original Arcadia v1.2, the game supports regular joysticks and those in the Joy 2B+ standard. In addition, it loads and saves the list of high score results to a floppy disk. A new feature is the counting of the bonus score at the end of each level for each saved life. The source codes of the game are available on my gitlab: https://gitlab.com/amarok8bit/arcadia-xmas-quest Happy gaming and Merry Christmas! arcadia_xmas_quest_v1.0.atr 16
