kheffington
How much is a Sealed XE Crystal Castles worth?
deathtrappomegranate
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3048380514 The last one from this seller went for more. The market is very volatile, much less stable than for 2600 games. There have been a few loose ones on eBay recently, so the value may be lower for the time being. robcatron
Crystal Castles has been quite ellusive for my collection for some reason. It is one cart that I have just not been able to get a hold of. I think loose cart, it should be worth $30-40, while boxed $75-$100. You sure are correct on market volativity. The first six months of last year where stellar for the 8-bit, I know, as I sold quite of bit of items. I remember selling a boxed Ultima III for $192, boxed Alternate Reality the City for $172, and many others that I cannot even remember. Now those same two games may bring $50 each -- I myself picked up two copies of ARC, and one copy of ARD for less than $50 in the same auction. Over the last year, there has been a flood of cartridges. Even those rarer Romox carts are finding their way out of the woodwork. It's a great time for collectors (which I am), and a horrible time for sellers (which I am, also). The Flip Flop that just ended would have brought double what it did if this were the second quarter '02 Rob Catron Frankfort, KY
emuxer0
Those prices are unbelievable. I got a Crystal Castles cart sealed in its box a couple of months ago by only (read and cry) MEX$17.00 (about US$1.50).
deathtrappomegranate
Excellent! A few more like that and it'd be worth the trip!

emuxer0
Sorry. It was quite some time ago and the place where I found it ran out of games (I also found at the same place a 7800 Tower Toppler for only US$0.70). Anyway, if you ever come to Mexico, try to find a Flea Market (they call it "tianguis" [the u is silent], there are plenty of them across Mexico City). I have found plenty of classic and rare games at prices from US$0.50 to US$5.00. For an instance I found a boxless 2600 Gremlins and a 2600 Crazy Climber (also without box) at only US$0.50 ea.
