chad5200
I am very familiar with Carina (original 1.0) from 1986 and Carina II (2.0) from 1988 as I purchased both those programs, ran these BBS's back in the day, and still have the user manuals (which are now available online). The Carina II manual is very nicely laid out with lots of detail. However, I see there are Carina 2.5, 2.6, and 2.7 out there. I believe these are versions that David Hunt released after purchasing Carina from Jerry Horanoff. Is there any documentation online about what has changed in these newer versions? Or does anyone have a rundown from memory as to what is newer/better in these versions?
+bf2k+
Here is the contents of the 2.7 doc files sub-directory. Never having run 2.0 myself, I could not say if any of this is new from 2.0. If you can't find it to download it, I can send it to you.

It looks like the CARINA*.TXT files are pretty much identical to the Carina II PDF that can be found on archive.org. I would recommend reading that nice PDF instead of those .TXT files if you want to run Carina 2.7, especially since the diagrams are missing from these .TXT files. However, the QUICKDOC.TXT contains new information (although it mentions Carina 2.5) and should be read after reading the Carina II PDF. Also, the HEADRINF.DOC and PAGE6MEM.DOC have new information in them.
