zork
Quick question - does PAL 130XE would display color on 1084S NTSC monitor. Apparently it can work in both modes (with Amiga), but what about PAL Atari 8-bit?
zork
answering my own thread -- it won't work in color (only in b&w).
Rybags
It does - but stock 130XE only gives chroma+luma, not RGB. You also might like to split mono audio to 2 outputs to feed each speaker.
+Stephen
As Rybags said - PAL RGB will have colour, but the composite or luma/chroma will not.
zork
right, I noticed that. Can the stock model output RGB though at all? (with some converter etc.)
zork
After some research it appears you need VBXE to output RGB. In conclusion: PAL Atari and NTSC monitor or vice versa will not work with stock s-video/composite.

tjlazer
Yeah sadly it doesn't but RGB singlas do work as such on the Amiga. I did see that my Commodore 64 PAL does show color when using a S-Video cable on my large screen TV.
Rybags
Stock composite has colour but does 1084 support that? Sophia 2 does RGB but it uses scan-doubling so probably won't work on 16 KHz monitors like 1084. But regardless, any 130XE should provide the needed colour signal.
