tlindner
I was just going over the footage, and decided to share something. I always noticed that hurricanes seem to flash when they enter the screen. I just decided to freeze frame on the moment of the flash and discovered it is caused by a quadruple sized storm (in white) being drawn for a single video frame.
+cmadruga
I would guess that is probably because storms and hurricanes are sprites that use bitmaps loaded to the same GRAM locations. There was probably not enough time to redefine (switch over) the bitmap before the first frame of the hurricane sprite showed up. Then on the next animation frame things fell into place.
