Seeking Moonbeam Software

Thank you for reaching out to us, and condolences on your loss.  I hope the remembrance of his work in this community was a comfort to him.  It sounds like he lived well and took on the world on his terms, which is something to aspire to.

I'm sorry to announce the passing of Mr. Moon. I am comforted that his legacy in gaming lives on.

I'm grateful  that you shared your father's story with our community, and I'm sad that he's gone. (I lost my elderly father in the past year.)

As a kid, all I knew of Moonbeam was the ads in 99er and one game: Cavern Quest on the 99/4. It was a big deal.  I saw the boxed game at Unisource Electronics in Lubbock, TX. It was a beautiful game and played very well despite the limitations of TI Extended Basic. Also, I learnt a great deal from studying the code. I was just a beginner and it unlocked many graphics secrets for me.

I wish I had been present when Mr. Moon was active on the email lists.

Again, thank you for sharing with us.
