The great thing about this is now whenever I want to get a rom whether it be for Original Hardware or Emulation I know how to get them and install them whenever I need too. I can do this for both Intellivision and Atari 2600...... Rickster8 Posted March 31 Author Share Posted March 31 (edited) Some complaints about this game.... For starters for the EASY level (Cadet) it ramps up WAY too fast... It goes from easy to super hard in between waves 5 and 7... I hate how you have to protect 4 Water Cities at the same time, but you cannot see them all at the same time. It seems like it takes forever to get to where you need to be instantly to help, but it's always too late..... I also hate how you have to be precisely over the Fuel gauge to get gassed up. This is a game of speed, being precise wastes PRECIOUS time. The gauge should have been bigger so being less precise would have saved time.... I'm so bad at CADET level I'd never even dream of trying the next two HARDER levels. That just would not be fun at all..... I also hate how the fuel you get is only good for one beam, that's like useless, to me gassing up for just one beam is STUPID, should have been two... Just alot wrong with this game in my opinion.... Can't stand Inty games that I have no hope of getting better at. I don't mind so much having to race around to protect the cities (reminds me of Defender), but the cities fall way too fast. Rickster8 Posted April 6 Author Share Posted April 6 (edited) Yeah I mostly agree with what you wrote. The biggest miss on Nova to me like you said is not really knowing where the urgency is... You just hear the dulling sound of a city dying and you're like hmmmm oh well, sh*t.... It's like trying to be in 4 places at once. This is why Atlantis will always be better because it all happens in front of you... Nova Blast had a good 'solid' idea, they just bombed (pun intended) on the end product... It just doesn't work.... I don't hate it, but I don't love it either... I've seen people get 100k on this and I'm like DAFUQ?? I can only play for so long until my fingers start to hurt from constantly having to press the fire button.
