Bodyshots
Thanks alex! It might be quicker to ask here without digging up some docs. What voltage is fed to the joystick controller port or does it matter. You think I could find a 5mA led anywhere in town? No. 10mA only. So ohms law 10voltDC/.01 = 1k ohm Resistor. They have 960 ohm resistors here. The DCVolts vary on the power supplies with an aftermarket. Or am I reading too much into it. I'm just a self taught beginner at the moment. This is an easy project to get some practice. Or should I just stick with the lower 680 ohm resistor to the led and get a dimmer light? I'm buy the 6 packs times 2 and want to make it right. The others I'll put up for sale here at cost for atariage members. However it won't be blue for the purists and the LED will come out the 9pin D-Sub Hood on the back where the cord would normally be. And then I'll paint them blue The site I'm using http://www.tiptopelectronics.com

cbelcher
I did make a PCB to carry the components shown in the earlier schematic. Seemed easier than the circuit origami to fit it in a plug. Message me if you are interested in bare boards like item #
