ACML Posted March 26, 2023 Share Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) I noticed that Lotharek still sells his excellent SIO2SD, but instead of the injection molded plastic version 1.3, it's now in a sheet metal, painted case and now says version 2.0. Does anyone know if internally there were improvements over the 1.3 or was the change in enclosure simply for cost savings. If one already has the molds, it's surprising to me that it would be cheaper in small quantities to set up a stamping operation to produce a new case.
