Kung Food - Pre-production box mock-up / late design layout board

First post, hello everyone. Lynx fan since release

 

Had this interesting (to me at least!) Kung Food stuff for many years now (a purchase from Buyatari many moons ago). Seems to be a pre-production box mock-up, as well as a late box design / layout board. The larger board appears to have started life as a Viking Child layout piece, reused for KF.

 

Nothing more to say haha. Off to read some threads!

Wow, that's a cool piece of Lynx history!  I've always had a soft spot for Kung Food.  It was something like the 5th Lynx game I picked up as a kid.  I thought it played really well and looked great.  I've even beaten it, once.  It gets a lot of flak from the fanbase for some reason.

 

This is such a unique thing to have in your collection.  Thank you for sharing!

I quite like Kung Food too.

 

But I can't lie. A few times over the years I've wished it was in its original Viking Child state!

That is really cool.  I remember when buyatari had that stuff at the Vegas cge waaay back in the day.  

 

I always loved Kung Food.  Had the right sounds, music and characters, action etc.

I love seeing all this artwork stuff. I recall someone posting the fact that they had a lot of the original box artwork a few years ago. Does anyone remember who it was?

I'm pretty sure Buyatari had a lot of original art stuff, and not just Lynx related. I seem to remember he used to post the odd pic on Assemblerforums.

 

I have a couple of Electron related art bits, which I will post in the relevant sub forum, as and when I dig them out.
