Indus GT - Recap list

Hi All,

 

Just wondering if anyone has done an Indus GT recap and has the capacitor list?

 

Also, did anyone change out the regular 7805 and 7812 power regulators for the more modern/high efficiency alternative?

Do you have an ESR meter? Sure it needs to be recapped? Sometimes things are better left as is.

When I took mine apart, all the caps looked good except for the main, so I just replaced that with a good Panasonic.

FYI - I have 4 extra upgrade ROMS if you need one. It’s the Best Electronics upgrade, otherwise known as INDUSunk.

i put a pair of buck converters in mine but some time later the drive developed issues. Unknown if it was directly related but i reverted back to linear ones (as @_The Doctor__ advises above) and afterwards i was able to see the classic "failed zero sensor shuffle". im happy to leave it on the older tech regulators!

Thanks for the advice all. I think I’ll probably change out all the electrolytic caps - not because they are failing but so I replace them before they do fail. As the regulators are working just fine I’ll leave them for the moment 🙂

 

Just out of interest, what’s the current rating for their 7805 and 7812 does anyone know?

 

Does anyone have a BOM for the Indus drives?
