Hello, I had started the topic below in the Programming section but nobody has replied. If anyone of you has an idea, it would be appreciated. AB.

_______________

Hey Gang,

So I'm going back to Basic (please take a look at my XC12 post in the market place if you can) and the only computers I have to program are a pair of XE systems + my Macintosh G4 (DP 1.25MHZ).

Simple question. Most of the programming tools I've found tend to be PC only. Would you know of any XL / XE programming tools available for the MAC (OS9/OSX) ? Or at least something cross platform ?

Thanks to all of you...

zzzzzzzzz... AB.

Hate to say it, but I'm doing all my programming on my PC instead of my Mac. Since I'm programming on the 5200, and the tools are DOS based (instead of Windows), I've thought about running a DOS command line emulator but I haven't tried it out yet. Running the tools on my G4 1Ghz DP in Virtual PC is just so slooowww.

Look into CC65 (www.cc65.org)

The tools work on MACs and if you're familiar to makefile's etc then this is a fantastic way to program in combination with an emulator. I primarily use the assembler (CC65) in combination with the powerful linker (LD65) that allows control over segments and code relocation amongst others.

Regards,

Mark
