I and my team made "game jam" version of this game on Grawitacja 2023: https://grawitacja.eu/stuff/BMLT.XEX.xex

So, my team and me decided, than we made full version of this game, i will inform about progress here and on atariarea.

My team:

1. Sikor (me) as leader, coder and game idea creator

2. Miker as musican

3. Kris3D as graphic designer

Of course we all discuss about inprovement game and on some other things, so our stalke roles intersect Stay tuned

I presume that you are planning to add something that will give the player a clue to how close they are to a bomb or treasure?

@mutterminder yes, now is only gamejam version, so lack of bugs and unfinished things. Theoretically 36 hours to write game from scratch is too little time for me, but we decided, that we try improve gameplay. I hope, i will make some code optimisation too.

Yes, i know. This is very old shanty's converted by Miker, but ideal for title game

I've heard this same tune use for a number of more science fiction themed, "filk tunes" at science fiction conventions in years past.  Like Dorsai, and Klingons.

I like it as well, I miss the line about "Put him in bed with the Captain's daughter". The link I posted was just the first version I ran across when I did a google seaarch based on a line I remembered from the tune.

Lots of traditional music has been recorded in "redacted" versions with entire verses missing or changed. 🙂

Yeah but it makes little sense to me why they would omit that. Is that line so out of bounds to some?

Maybe I'll destroy your divagations but this was one-minute decision to select this music and not another, and the execution of all the game music was some hour of two. That's all.
