Sorry to hear about your emulation struggles! I am decidedly not the emulation master, but I got the Argon emulator for Android to work with Inty games while I am out of town for Memorial Day. It has a $5/month subscription, and you have to drop the exec and grom from the inty bios files into the roms folder. So just play regular Astrosmash and time it for 30 minutes... You don't have to play the TIMED one per se... If you have any Astrosmash just play it and quit after 30 minutes.
