carlsson Posted June 26, 2023 Share Posted June 26, 2023 IMHO what differentiates video game consoles from computers are inputs, outputs and secondary storage. It is true that some video games had add-ons that let you use a tape recorder for one or another purpose, as well as keyboards which made them hybrid computers. Probably it should even be required that you can record anything onto the secondary storage device, which from what I understand disqualifies the Starpath add-on for the 2600 as it has RAM and can load programs, but you can't record anything from it.
