I ask a simple queston

My 2 wires got ripped off, I don't have pics, I'm at my bro's house

I just had my faceplate off a couple months ago, but I don't remember what the wires went to. Might be the sync button.
Try each button and see which one(s) doesn't work?
I know it's not the eject button.

Are you referring to the sensor bar (like shown here) https://amzn.to/3JO2Bts

I would think any local retro game store in your area would have these in stock if you need them right away.

You can even buy a USB one,  and it doesn't even need to be plugged into the Wii, all it does is output two beams of IR light,  all the smarts are in the Wiimote.

I've read that as well.   Haven't tried it.

Calling it a "sensor bar" is a misnomer since it doesn't sense anything :)

It is, but I have a feeling "emitter bar" wouldn't fare well in focus testing.  What is it emitting?  Is it dangerous radiation?

I've tried the tea light trick.  Works.  Unfortunately, they're harder to come by these days and those stupid LED ones do not work, and also are sucky candles to boot.
