Help the Library of Congress Create Video Games that Improve Public Knowledge of Civics

Recommended Posts

Hello. I work at the Library of Congress and I wanted to mention a challenge that we are hosting that might be of interest to retro game developers. The Library's Friends' Choice Civics Video Game Challenge encourages game developers to create fun, lightweight games that teach civics and incorporate Library resources.

This challenge was inspired, in part, by Oregon Trail, so I thought it might be of interest to some of the people on this forum. The three winning games will receive cash prizes and the winning games will be hosted on the Library's site for use by the public. Entries are due on 11/27/23.

If you're interested, you can find more details here: https://www.challenge.gov/?challenge=library-of-congress-friends-choice-civics-video-game-challenge

Thanks!
