Utility to test floppy drive?

I acquired a few floppy drives (810 and 2 1050's) and want to test them - is there a utility or something to run that will do more exhaustive tests, or is it enough to simply see if it reads some of the floppies I have?

but yes, the simplest way is to read an original disk. then format a disk, write a disk, boot that disk on another drive to ensure its within spec

always worth scrubbing the read/write head with alcohol if youve just exhumed the drive from a long term slumber.. 😴
