Question about collision detection using INDIRECT,X addressing

Hi,

 

I've been banging my head against a bug in my tank game and I'm stepping through the debugger in Stella and seeing something weird - it looks like when I execute this:

ldx #1
lda (CXM0P,X)

that it is not loading the value from CXM1P but is instead loading the values from CXM0P.  Is this expected?  Or am I missing something really obvious?
