Clint Thompson
Say what you will about the Cosmos, but had that been released back when I was a kid, it would have been badass compared to the monochrome Tiger handhelds that came even later. There would have been some whimsical or magical mysticism to having such a cool futuristic device at such a young age in the 80s! All the talk about the Panther and Duo, I still don't understand Atari naming what simply appears to be a 2nd revision of the Jaguar (only with Tom and Jerry neatly aligned) as "Jaguar Console II' on their fab drawings. Oddly, that was April 1st, 1994. This was grouped together with the JagDuo files though. Also interestingly, the 2nd revision has part number listed as: 700062, inverting the ending numbers of the original Jaguar's assembly number: 700026. Waiting for current Atari to catch wind of the naming conventions used and release a Cheetah.... Arcadia
They should've named the three chips in Atari Panther Itchy, Scratchy, and Poochy. 1
