Does anyone here know who bought this (or might confess to purchasing it)?

Talking to the seller was a pleasure, but he insisted on leaving up to the buyer the possibility that hi-res images of cart, manual, and box would be shared with the community. 
 

Doing so would make a great addition to the Atari historical archive, whether it be here or Atarimania.

Wonder007 bought this one, so it's in good hands.

But I would very much appreciate it if he would scan the box and manual for VCS history sake.

Hey Rom, just curious, but from the pics of this that we do have of it so far, is the format and layout of the artwork, screen shots, and text fonts consistent with other Sancho releases?

 

(trying to understand if it looks more like a mock up / retailers sample or a production copy.)

Well, Sancho's layout, fonts and artwork isn't too consistent IMO, and Words-Attack was found among other released Sancho titles, so I don't doubt it's at least a retailers copy and most probably a production copy.

I feel confident that we will know very soon. Because even if he chooses not to provide a scan or pic of the manual, he would certainly be willing to type out the text for us of what it says.
