"Dirty Cables" / "Dirty PCBs" Website - OK?

Is the site DirtyCables risky to use?  I took a look at their site for a cable and then, as I tend to do, check the "about us" page.  They seem to come across as a bunch of fourteen-year-olds with lots of connections with Chinese compainies.  With the seeming hysteria about Chinese Web-sites these days, has anyone noticed any risk?  Or am I just being paranoid?  I am thinking of rebuilding my BATcomputer project of a few years ago, and could use a cable or two to replace the ones I Mickey-Moused to get it working.

They've been around for quite some time, but based on what I found here, the problem may not be the site but the minimum number of cables you have to buy. They are also somewhat well-known as a rapid turn around PCB manufacturing hub.

I've used their DirtyPCBs for up to 10x10cm.  No complaints there.  (value for the money)

I ordered the sample connectors kit from DirtyCables.  I enjoyed the video they made about buying cables.  That taught me a lot.   But after playing with the ordering tool and seeing the min qty,  I tooled up and made two cables myself.  With much cursing.  I learned a lot.

Stopped there, because I don't need 100!   But it was only 70 cents per cable, even with 4 crimped spade terminals on one end.  And KF2510 on the other.  So if I needed even 10 of them, I might spend $70!   Hmm, it's 76 cents now

Another short cable was going to be 30 cents.    Throwing $30 at it to get perfect crimps? Yeah!

Alternately, design a cable for multiple uses.  Make it 4 wires and repurpose for 2, 3, 4.

I tried combining into a Medusa cable, but there's no point.
