Interesting ADND Cloudy Mountain glitch

I'm aware of the Easter egg where you can jump from the upper left hand corner to the end of the game.

 

But as I was playing today I hit a scenario where my adventurer was positioned partially *outside* a cave,

as shown in the attached picture.  Have played this game zillions of times, and had never seen this!

 

It happened as I was running "south", but not quite aligned with the passageway.

I was able to reproduce it by trying again a few times, to get this snapshot.

I've definitely never seen or had that happen to me before,very interesting!

I wasn't shooting any arrows, just "running" (disc + lower action button).

 

It's difficult to reproduce, but I was able to do so again.

Just try running down at various angles and turns.

 

I also was able to get my foot "out of bounds" when running east, just below the east exit.

 

I'm using jzintv, not real hardware, in case that wasn't clear.

99 percent sure that's an emulation issue.  Wondered why the screenshot was so clear. Duh on my end.
