8bitwidgets.com
I'm learning about Batari Basic and Assembly and I was thinking about games that could use my Pong Coupler. I know there is a game called "Labyrinth" but it's not this: My thought was to make a game that would let you play the game above using this (or even a custom alternative that closer simulates the side knobs of the real game) So I just got to thinking maybe this has already been done by someone and obviously I don't want to reinvent the wheel even though I am looking to recreate an existing game.. although I do have thoughts of how I might +1 the game in some other ways so while it might have a classic mode, there could be some fresh ideas too.
Albert
Well, there's Marble Craze, which is basically one of these wooden labyrinth games, and it also uses two paddles. Your coupler would be quite good to have for this game... ..Al
8bitwidgets.com
Hi @Albert I did just learn about that game actually! A member here informed me about it, but it still is it's own (impressive!) style game. I'm still learning so I figured I'd try to see if I could reproduce the wooden game to keep my mind focused on a specific game design to keep me focused. Thanks! BassGuitari
Quasi-related, but I'm a little surprised nobody has homebrewed an analog joystick for the 2600 yet. It would basically just be two paddles stuffed into one box with the pots manipulated by a stick. It wouldn't have much use with the legacy library, but with full 360-degree movement and two buttons, there's a ton of homebrew potential there.
