In September of that year I transferred to George AFB, in Vistorville, Ca. Eventually bought and Apple II+ and gave the Sears Video Arcade to my fiance's parents, which of course I now regret doing. Fast forward to a couple month ago and I got another Sear Video Arcade off of eBay. Yes! Enough of this "Atari 2600" nonsense, let's talk about the far superior Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade!!! Much more refined fake woodgrain, clearly classier and more upscale. Silver painted upper switch area, a night and day difference! Hahaha, my dad worked at Sears so we got the employee discount so guess what version we got as kids. I have early memories of playing Comba... Tank Plus, Target Fun and Surround. I loved those black boxes, how I wish we hadn't been so stupid to have thrown away the boxes. My brother has our system now, I bought a replacement (or did I? Looking around this room I certainly don't see it, hmmm....) that I want to upgrade to composite out. I did make sure recently to buy all 3 Sears exclusive games, boxed. I have a few others boxed along with some homebrews (most from AtariAge). Many fond memories of playing those primitive games and going to Toys "Я" Us, Tower Records, Kay*Bee Toys, etc., to buy the latest games. magnusfalkirk
I had my Sears system upgrade to a UAV vidoe output, by Crossbow, so I can either plug it into my Dell Monitor, that the 800xl is currently plugged into, or the Hisense TV in my bedroom. Unfortunately I can't hook it up to the living room tv as the Samsung tv doesn't have a composite input. I'm also using a Harmony cartridge with it, so I've got just about every Atari 2600 game I could find available to play. I'm going to send the Harmony cart to Batari and have him upgrade it to a Harrmony Encore for me.
