I was going through my Steam stuff the other day, and I noticed I had this.  Must have gotten it for a couple of bucks and forgotten about it.  So, I tried it, and it's a really fun little rail shooter.  Basically dollar store Panzer Dragoon, but it's pretty and competent enough in a field that's sparsely populated.

 

Couldn't the game be packaged with WINE and put in the VCS store, or is that not feasible?  It looks like they still own the publishing rights to it, and I bet VCS owners would jump all over it.  I know it doesn't gel with their current aesthetic direction, but when you've got this old property just sitting on the shelf and have cultivated sort of the perfect audience for it, why not?

 

In any case, there's nothing stopping anyone from playing it on the VCS now if you go PC mode, but if would be nice to have something like this on there.  There is just a bit too much low-rent retro fare at the moment and the system could use a little more spectacle.
