+davidcalgary29
Yes, absolutely. I asked the same question in 2018, and was given help here. Of course, you can always try this...
doctorclu
They have a Z-Interpreter for Portfolio?
bttr
From https://palmtop.cosi.com.pl/2012/09/28/games-a-for-adventure/ Quote Atari Portfolio You can download a few games from atari-portfolio.co.uk. I don't think that any DOS Z-code interpreter would run on a Portfolio, but I didn't even try. Maybe there is a lightweight version, capable of running on a very basic XT? EDIT: There is an interpreter with a few games (including Zork Trilogy). You can download it from PofoWiki's download section (infocom.zip). naujoks
I'm trying to run the Infocom games on the Portfolio, but with every game I try I'm getting a "Gamefile not found" error. Does anyone know what's wrong? I'm trying to run this off a Memory Card, as there is not enough memory on the Portfolio itself. Or do I need to run these with the RAM expansion? naujoks
I put the RAM expansion in and trasferred the files to C:, but I'm still getting the Gamefile not found error.
naujoks
By looking at the ZORK1.COM file, I found out that ZORK1.DAT is supposed in a directory called DATA. But now I'm getting a Division by zero error.
JasonACT
Does this help? PORTDIV.zip
naujoks
No. The only difference is that the message "Division Fault" now appears in a pretty box.
JasonACT
Don't know then, I compiled my own z-machine 24 years ago - for my LCD driver that does 10 or 12 x 60 tiny text... You could try that I guess? I would have liked to see it working on something more POFO standard, but I never tried anything else before.
