atarianer2003
Hi all, big problem: I've got (very cheap - 2 Euro) a SLM804 Laser Printer with SLMC804 Interface and all cables and software, but: When I switch the printer on, it only "screams" for 2 minutes. When I will start printing from the ST, it doesn't do anything What can it be? Drum unit? Greetings Mike

Greetings Mike I've been trying to refurbish a SLM804 myself, and note that it's prone to a whole host of problems. Try checking: a) the toner cartridge/unit. Is it properly seated on its carriage? b) the drum. Is it properly placed at the bottom of the entire printing unit (toner cartridge, drum unit, etc.) c) Is there any rust on the spindles at the side of the drum unit? These need to be cleaned -- carefully. d) Is there a paper jam? Paper can get stuck in the oddest places in these beasts. e) Do you have a proper driver in your software? Check settings before you print.
