Thanks!

I get "Intellivision halted" during gameplay using FreeIntv on Retroarch.

I don't know how compatible is this emulator with homebrews... the game works with jzintv for sure which is the best emulator.

@wavemotion I like how you adapted the overlay at the bottom screen!

Question: do you think it would be possible to make the emulator update the bottom graphics depending on which part of the game is being executed?

Idea would be to make it context-sensitive.

That sounds a little difficult for my skill level :)  But not impossible.

To be honest, when I play Bank Panic, I map keypad 1,2,3 to Y,X,A so I can just press the DS buttons which is easier than looking down at the touch-screen.

Wouldn't that be a problem even for users of real overlays if the functions depend on the state? I like your thinking and it would give DS users an advantage.

I thought there was already a couple games with different overlays and you use both controllers?

This came to mind because a couple of my current projects turn the keypad into a flip phone style keyboard for alphanumeric entry.

I have no idea how the overlay is going to look like once all other functions are also represented!
