Crawlspace - 3D portal engine experiment WIP

16k Atari Cart experiment with a portal renderer. Generally runs at 30fps+, capable of moving geometry etc. Would love feedback on look, can't decide between GTIA luma, 9 color or something else.

We have some great 3D and psuedo 3D engines on the A8 of late. 

 

I assume you are familiar with Gloves final assault and 128k ray casting engines, as well as Swiety's Doom engines, and older engines from other coders like the Vector engine, project m, maze? Not to mention Shanti77's recent engine.

tested on Altirra, very smooth. Love the gtia mode used, with dithering used to great effect for lighting/depth.

@rossum  just to say - and this maybe in the pipeline - but individual panel textures on the walls would help orientate you whilst moving around.

 

So In Globe's 128k raycaster engine it's used to great effect:
