2600+ joystick coupler

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced joystick couplers (compatible with 2600+ sticks) for twin stick Robotron 2084?

 

I had a look on eBay and Etsy and couldn't find anything

I'm thinking it might be fairly easy-ish to improvise something if having a couple of game controllers such as the Hyperkin Ranger thumb-stick styled game pads.

For the classic styled 2600 joystick controllers, I imagine that could be more tricky.

Hyperkin Rangers are tricky to get for a good price in the UK 

 

I have a couple of euro style 7800 pads I could probably use okay but I was hoping for an arcade style twin stick solution using the new sticks

This idea looks like it could work, improvised and cheap.

Maybe you could do something similar. It doesn't need to look fancy as long as it works.
