I'd much rather be playing my Atari or C64 but those are hard to bring in there. A not insignificant part of the value proposition of the Evercade for me is playing 2600, C64, MSX, and Amiga on the throne. 2

It’s often just trying it out a little, and then I sort of just cannot find the steam to go through it all. Played through Mario Wonder last year, and I’ve tested out Atari’s Recharged titles in ordder to stay up-to-date with that stuff (and they are retro-leaning). Long time since I’ve really spent long time with a new/modern game. The ones I like the most are Forza Horizon 2-5 and The Crew 2 and some other such games (driving/open world). Ok, I think got the part about jotting down game-times, but not why I would have to change my name to some ridiculous-sounding Latin phrase, invade visi-goth tribes, erect marble statues of myself everytime I’ve done some unspeakable act, or why I’ve had to get myself into mortal intrigue for absolutely everything…? Shouldn’t it be enough to jot down game times? Do I also now have call myself something like Dickus Inflaticus Gilius Norvikingimacus Septicomaniagus Arsenobarbacackomaniamimus Maxus - just to participate? Frankly, I like the simpless of ‘Giles N’. Neither do I have any immediate intention of invading and plundering anything beyond my fridge. So, beside that - guess I’m to late for tonights showdown already. Perhaps I’ll be back with times. And must it be every game, or just a selection? carlsson
As it turns out, I haven't had time to compile last week's stats yet so you still have some time to do adjustments. Like mentioned, without any indication of time, I'm using 5 min per listed game. You can choose to specify times more closely for some games and less for others if you don't have all the details. 3
Giles N
Then: Double Dragon (Lynx): 45 min Ninja Gaiden (Lynx): 35 min Raiden (Lynx): 10 min Xybots (Lynx): 15 min Mario Kart 8 (Switch): 10 min Ghost n Goblins (Switch): 20 min Afterburner (PC Engine): 25 min —- That was the closest approximations I could come up with now. Question: is this something that must be followed up, from week to week, or can I just do this entry? I thought it could be fun to input what I’ve played once, but I cannot follow up weekly continually. Sorry for any other misunderstandings I may have caused. (Lets say, from what jgkspsx gave as feedback, it wasn’t self-evident to me, what the Romans used to do, - and the digression on my part probably didn’t clear up what I wondered about). You can stop by just once, come back every third month or become a regular. There are no obligations, it is all up to you how much you like to participate. 4

+jgkspsx
Apple iOS: Galaxy Mix - 31 min Puzzlejuice - 21 min Arcade: Bubble Bobble - 10 min Crazy Taxi - 10 min Outrun 2 - 10 min Point Blank - 4 min Point Blank 3 - 10 min Puzzle Bobble - 3 min The most concern I have ever had about playing an arcade game. (Look at the surroundings carefully.) Tapper - 10 min Timber - 15 min Tumblepop - 126 min Finished the game, as I tend to do when I sit down to play it. Also got an acceptably high score for my high score challenge. Atari 2600: Centipede - 105 min Commodore 64: Sword of Fargoal - 94 min Nintendo 64: Conker's Bad Fur Day - 45 min Frustrating as heck but definitely a lot of fun. One of these days I will play the Xbone port. Nintendo Switch: Deep Diving Adventures - 15 min As many problems as I have with Endless Ocean Luminous, playing this made me realize how many things it did right. This isn't a bad game but it is a real pain in the butt in terms of simply moving around in the water. Endless Ocean Luminous - 570 min I am sad to say that this is a hollow shell of a game compared to its predecessors, but even so, taken on its own terms it is pretty fun. Recommended only if you really like underwater life (especially the prehistoric kind) and atmospheres. Hypnospace Outlaw - 100 min Playing through this marvelous and all too familiar adventure for the second time. Koral - 25 min Very fun simple side scrolling exploration game. Needed a break after the more immersive diving games. Tetris 99 - 20 min Unlocked the Endless Ocean Luminous skin, which might be my favorite skin yet for the game. It's available by getting 100 Tetris Maximus points by the end of the month (ish) - don't miss it! Sega Genesis: Battle Squadron - 35 minutes It is a very poor shooter but I can't say I didn't enjoy it.
Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for the last week of May 6th through 12th... sorry, again no playing times. I'm still adapting my choorse-your-story adventure game "The Grindy Adventure" over to chooseyourstory.com. Right now I've adapted 38 out of a total of 60 pages, and nearly half the chapters (the first chapters are far longer than the last ones in average).
carlsson
Atari 8-bit: Desmond's Dungeon - 13 min. Hey, minutes! I noticed it was two months ago that I had more than 30 minutes to report on a single game, about a year ago that I had more than 60 minutes into one game. I haven't had a single game with triple digit minutes since April 2023. Three years ago I had a game with 300+ minutes in a week. Twice ever (counting back to 2013) that I broke 700 minutes on a single game in a week.
