Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this past week (September 30th through October 6th, 2024): Sega Genesis: Frogger - 7 minutes TI-99/4A: Treasure Island - 100 minutes in 9 sessions This week, despite what I wrote last week, I continued playing "Treasure Island" on the TI-99/4A. However, after a while I managed to roll it. It only has a 5-digit score counter, so it doesn't take too long to roll over the score from 99,999 to 0. Plus the game eventualy tops out in difficulty when all 5 possible enemies are on screen. After that, I wanted to play the TI-99 version of Frogger, but didn't get it to play so I reverted to the Genesis version, which is nearly perfect concerning sprites and graphics, but the logic in some places is off. Most notably, the speed gets faster continuously, while it's done differently in the arcade where there are actually only two speeds, and the faster kicks in after a while. On the genesis version the speedup occurs more gradually, it seems to pick up with each level completed while the level complitions in the original only affect the frequencys and pattern of the enemy objects, but not their speed. Also in the Genesis version the music seems like not properly tuned.

Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this past week (October 7th through 13th)... first I have to apologize for last week's posting. As so often, I was pretty tired when I wrote it, so I didn't manage to properly proofread it, and there are many errors in it... but the times are correct. As for this week, I didn't play anything, now that I've basically finished "Treasure Island" on the TI-99. I was busy working on my storygame "The Grindy Adventure". At the moment I'm "proofreading" it from the start while removing all the AI genereted text that crept in there especially in later chapters that weren't part of the original version on paper. You can find more about this here: Read Thread > ChooseYourStory.com
