Boschloo
The Commodore 128 metal logo badge has fallen off. Which adhesive should I use to put it back on permanently?
carlsson
Super glue? Two component epoxy glue? Unless you throw it around, I would expect the badge to sit in its place using most types of glue, though it should be one suitable for both metal and plastic. I bought Kwik-Weld, we'll see how that goes.
+OLD CS1
I like to use something like crafter's glue or scrapbook glue, because it does hold but also gives you the option to remove it later.
eightbit
Never use superglue on plastic. At worst it will melt it (the plastic, not the metal), at best it won't but you'll never get the badge off ever again! I use this thermal tape: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085CLXM7J It is so thin as to not cause the badge to be "lifted", strong enough that it is not coming back off easily, but not so strong enough that you can't get the badge off one day if you really need to. I've used it to reattach original rubber feet on the machines as well. Edited January 15 by eightbit
