Trying to get RespeQT to work in Linux (almost there?)

Recommended Posts

I have a computer here (somewhat modern 4-core i5) that fortunately enough has a serial port. I have been using it up until this point in Windows with APE software from Steven Tucker and an SIO2PC serial adapter from him as well connected to my 600XL. It is all set up on COM1 and works fine...has for a long time.

Today I have decided to move this machine over to Linux and am running Tuxedo OS....which is basically Ubuntu with KDE Plasma.

Now I am trying to get RespeQT running with my 600XL machine. I have installed the libqt5serialport5 package and have added my user to the dialout group.

The software launches and appears like it is going to work:

Serial port good, looks like it's ready to launch my disk, right?

Wrong. Turning on the 600XL acts as if nothing is connected at all.

Does anybody know what I am missing?
