Retro ps4

Who owns a ps4 and plays mostly retro games? I own a ps4 pro and I always end up playing atari flashback classsics 1,2,3 and the 50th celebration! 💪

I was planing on getting a PS4 or Xbox One. I have been trying to stay 2-3 generations behind. At least with systems, the best time to buy a console is during the same year the new console comes out. You get the lowest prices, can still find new units, and most of the hardware bugs have been worked out.

I missed the boat on PS4 / Xbox One, as I think they stopped manufacturing new units in 2021.

 

If I owned one, I would still mostly be playing retro. My newest systems are an Xbox 360 / PS3 (broken eject) / Wii. I have a handful of 20 / 4 / 15 games for the systems, but rarely play them.

Overall, prices for PS4 went up in the first year of the PS5 due to scarcity of both machines.  I just recently picked up a broken PS4 pro to work on, and will likely use it as another machine to play SOTN...

I usually turn on the PS4 to play exclusives or PSVR games.  I'm working my way through them - just finished Spider Man.

 

It is a backup console for me really, so I didn't invest much in digital or retro titles.  I have a slim and I think I remember getting it with a big coupon that GameStop emailed me.

Yeah this has occured to me over the years of owning a PS4.

Probably 95% of my playing is retro games such as the Arcade Archives games and various shoot em up re-releases.

I've purchased a few new top tier games but they just don't hold my interest.
