Overange
The controller appears to be easily modded to work on a classic system using a 9 pin, as there appears to be break out pads for the switches.....
Gabe
I watched that video earlier. I wonder why they sent him a prototype rather than a production unit.
bfollowell
Oh, he definitely says that it isn't a production unit early on. Even if he's hadn't, I mean, the 400 is solid black and there's no paint at all on the joystick. It's kind of obvious that it definitely isn't a production unit. +LS650
I found it amusing how he superimposed the image of the production model over the black prototype... I thought things looked pretty good from the review.

TBH, I found the smoke and mirrors kind of annoying. I had no problem with the black prototype unit; in fact, it looked cool like that to me. BTW, one reviewer has a boxed production unit in hand; but he's been instructed not to review it yet.

If I recall they also sent him a prototype of the A500 mini (Amiga) too.
CartoonDan
Here is a interview about the 400 mini
Preppie
Thanks for that interview. 1) What's the surprise? 2) Are some of us gonna be empty handed after 28th?
CartoonDan
I hope the surprise is Atari-8 bit related and not about their new recharged arcade games. Atari sure is doing a lot lately. Amazon tells me "Now arriving March 29". Hopefully that is accurate.
Bill Lange
I received a review unit in the mail today to review for Old School Gamer magazine (https://www.oldschoolgamermagazine.com/). I'm only allowed to post a photo of the box prior to the March 28th release date. 7

To me, this, in part, means that if response continues as such, there's quite a good chance of them continuing to develop for the 8-bit computers.
