Valthonis_Surion
I've been reading up on the Sophia adapter and looking at it on the brewing academy website, but it appears to only have DVI physically but the features list Independent RGB/YPbPr/VGA and DVI outputs How does one get the RGB or YPbPr outputs from the Sophia adapter? rayik
Having installed both, the Sophia RGB mod produces a better picture. But you need an upscaler to really enjoy it Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/363038-atari-5200-sophia-mod-for-rgb-or-component/#findComment-5430637 Share on other sites

I think we talked about this already, but to use the other output options, I've always used the config utility to select the active one (Although Simius has stated they are always active), and then in the case of component or anything that wasn't DVI, I soldered wiring from the output pins off the connector on the board and ran that wire to separate RCAs for component. I've not used the RGB output personally from the Sophia so I can't compare that with anything. But the DVI and component looked the same and they were both fantastic through my AV setup when I was installing them for others and testing.
