Atariboy2600
So far we till on mark in going to Japan this year and to get the early jump rather then trying to find the big box consoles in Japan, pack them and ship them from there to the US cost or worst fly with them in the baggage claim I and some others just use 'Yahoo! JAPAN Auction' online and found some I wanted and so far I got two Box Atari 2800 console and some loose games. So far I got two set of 2800 with some loose games First set Second set Now all I need to find in Japan are the 31/35 Atari 2800 BOX games. +eebuckeye
Nice! I'm not finding any available now.. how much do boxed systems typically cost?
+x=usr(1536)
Let us know what availability and buying is like once you're on the ground. Obviously in an auction setting it'll be variable, but this is a system that I've been increasingly intrigued by.

Atariboy2600
The Atari 2800 never stood a chance in Japan against Nintendo's Famicom and Sega's SG-1000 home consoles 1983. The 2800 for all stander was a 2600 a 1977 tech trying to compete a new 8-bit units. Funny that the boxes for those are so similar. In fact they actually are (kind of) uniform shade of gray The (almost uniform) blue and red fonts, logos, and accents.
