TampaBay
Hi Admins, Can you please let me know what may have caused this message and if there is a workaround or way to fix it? I've been successfully receiving every AtariAge e-mail and notification to my e-mail address without any problems, no Spam, no rejections. I do not have another e-mail address to use for this account. Thanks. Albert
This only happens if an email is bouncing for some reason, I haven't seen false positives as far as this goes. If some of your emails are bouncing, which is not something you'd be likely to know unless you control the email server, this can cause a problem for mail delivery in general for the email server sending out the emails. This is the main reason this check was put into place -- if you have a forum where tons of old email addresses are now bouncing, that can result in your server being put on a blacklist, causing more email providers to block your messages from being delivered. I have unblocked it, but if this happens again it's unlikely I will be able to unblock it again. At that point, you would be required to change your email address in order to continue receiving emails from the forum. Take care, ..Al Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/363345-seeing-notification-that-my-e-mail-address-is-blocked-for-rejecting-too-many-messages/#findComment-5432226 Share on other sites

My suggestion that nothing was getting bounced was only because for every notification I've received on the AtariAge website, I successfully received the corresponding e-mail for that notification. (There wasn't any point in time where I was seeing a red notification icon but not receiving the e-mail.) Either way, perhaps my Yahoo e-mail account did not like the frequency of e-mails I was receiving, as I was e-mail subscribed (on an "immediate e-mail" frequency) to several forum topics with lots of activity, resulting in 10 - 20 e-mails per day, if not more. I will unsubscribe from all of those forum topics right now (or at least switch to daily or weekly summary) and hopefully that fixes Yahoo from reacting the way it has. Thanks again. I appreciate your help!
