I've just found out the delivery is gonna be from Evri.
Oh great they're gonna just launch it out of the van at the house and drive off.

I did note that the resulting program wasn't as fast as it would be if it were programmed in Assembly...

If you want more running speed, you can try the Abacus Basic 64 compiler which can compile down to machine code, not Blitz's P-code.  I've found that Basic 64 does make for a faster program but is less compatible with making an error-free compiled program.  For that, Blitz 64 is more compatible.  (Not forgetting Blitz 128 and Basic 128...)

Thanks Robert.  Yeah Blitz really doesn't seem to mind anything I throw at it, for that neither does Mospeed64 , the online one that you can just drag a .txt file into it and press compile.  I can make programs that suit the speed.  I'll have a look at the Abacus compiler though.

The64 arrived just an hour or so ago.  The Evri driver was just getting back in his car after he dropped off the box on my doorstep - luckily I was watching out for him and got there before any porch pirates could.  :P

I'm pleased with it.
