mack25
Going to post my scores so far, in case I don't get another chance to play before the deadline Crossforce - 1700. I just could not get the hang of this game. too much going on Crossbow - 61550. Better than I expected Red Sea Crossing - 17900. Fought tooth and nail for every point here. It was like: play, get a score. Play again, new score just 10 points higher. Repeat, 10 more points higher... over and over.

Keir
Some of the obstacles in Red Sea Crossing really puzzle me. For example, in this screenshot the giant snake is obvious but what are the 2 lumps on the bottom supposed to be?

According to this unofficial manual, they're sea monsters... https://www.ataricompendium.com/archives/manuals/vcs/red_sea_crossing_fan-based.pdf Also, interestingly, the last two digits are your lives, so technically the scores are a lot lower in this game than how they appear. But since that's ridiculous and confusing, let's all pretend we're scoring in the 10s of thousands 1 1

I kept wondering why I would lose that last point after my game ended. I could have sworn it was 10,001.
fakecortex
Cross Force 1b - 820 Dodging bullets at the top keeps getting me. Neat concept, I’m just not so good at it. Cross Bow 3b - 29,550 I love light gun games, so this would’ve been awesome if they would’ve allowed it to use the XE gun… and I just learned that this came out for 7800 and XEGS with light gun support, so I’m definitely gonna check that out. Hopefully it works better than the other ones I’ve played. *edit* Switched over to a Genesis controller to nab that score btw. Moving a target is clunky already. I found it really difficult with a joystick. Red Sea Crossing 1b - 12,700 (127 lol) Starts off pretty simple and boring and then you start to die and it’s still pretty simple and boring, just with the annoyance of dying when you expect to just breeze through it. An appropriate game for Passover too lol. Edited March 31 by fakecortex

Living Room Arcade
Suspicious Coincidence! The desert background scenes in Dan Kitchen's 1983 prototype of his unreleased game Keystone Kannonball look very similar to the desert background scenes in Atari's 1988 home version of Crossbow. Keystone Kannonball, 1983 (left) and Crossbow, 1988 (right) Close up views Keystone Kannonball, 1983 Crossbow, 1988 Coincidence? What do you think! Absalon
improvement for CROSSBOW loop(r,r,b,r) for = 88750 it's been a while since I played this game. Can't figure out how to survive the jungle, so I loop the 3 stages I'm sometimes good at. Did u know u can grind some points in the "ice cave", by not dropping the stalactite and just let the person stop at the hole and shot?! Alex_813
Read Sea Crossing 32300. I hate snakes I give up on crossfire. It's messing with my eyes. I played for like 5 minutes and when I stopped, it looked like my glasses had a smudge on they. That effect lasted 20 minutes or so. I think it's all the flashing. 2
DrMooCowz
Crossbow: 15750 - took me longer than I care to admit that you're supposed to shoot one of the color things at the bottom to actually start the game! Cross Force: 2960 - interesting concept, not sure I like it though Red Sea Crossing: 9300 - yep 1

Not your fault, in the Atari 7800 version, there would normally be some text written in the green and red boxes to make it more clear what you're supposed to do.
