USB keyboard for 400 Mini

Recommended Posts

Currently I'm using a spare full-size keyboard with my 400 Mini, but it looks gigantic in comparison and takes up a lot of unnecessary space on the coffee table.

Anyone want to recommend a more compact USB keyboard that I can order through Amazon or whatever?

The mini USB keyboard I use was purchased nearly 20 years ago and I don’t even know if the company still exists: A4 Tech model KL5UP.

i will note that my keyboard has a power button and the 400Mini will turn off when I press it - doesn’t come on though 🤷‍♂️

This is definitely in the "whatever else" category, but I spent the last few weeks building a virtual keyboard that runs on my tablet and a Raspberry Pi. (The Pi plugs into the 400's USB port, and publishes a web page that emulates the keyboard)

It's a lot of work, but I have a keyboard that looks and acts like a real Atari 400 keyboard. With just as much key travel.
