r_chase
a.k.a. I'm bored and I wanna see some interesting homebrews for SNES. Nevertheless, I would love to see some. 🥺 Also some tips for making some would be cool I guess.
+Gemintronic
PVSNESLib is the easiest way until the NES Maker people move forward. https://github.com/alekmaul/pvsneslib?ysclid=luvwwas174140684538 I had only partial success with TRSE but it's easier than learning C. https://lemonspawn.com/turbo-rascal-syntax-error-expected-but-begin/downloads/ 2

Thanks. Anyhow, maybe I can find a way to port a browser game to SNES or even GBA if I feel a bit more "modern".
SlidellMan
Chase, I wanted to say thank you for starting this. To tell you the truth, I actually wanted to get into Super NES homebrew and even wrote some Assembly code of my own. However, the tutorials didn't have any advice as to which lines of code go where, etc.
Wayler
Dreamer alert! But seriously, it would be great, wouldn't it. We just need some out-of-the-box thinking to push the system to its limits. I just wonder who could be the right person for the job?....

I know some SMW hackers have pushed the limits of what a romhack could be, that's for sure. Also, I know I mentioned the TinyGo compiler in the context of GBA games, but what about SNES and beyond? :

You'll be on your own for many of these compilers without much of a community to fall back on. So, pick a specific compiler and keep at it.

r_chase
I decided to do a quick DuckDuckGo search and couldn't find anything on SNES with TinyGo. So I might have to find another compiler to do the job, but to be fair, I also need to learn Go itself first anyway. I really need to slow down a bit. +Gemintronic
The SNES wouldn't be my first choice for getting homebrew wins under my belt. The Scorpion Engine is a low/no code dev suite for the Amiga, Genesis and Neo Geo (very experimental). https://forums.atariage.com/topic/354231-scorpion-engine-for-sega-genesis-game-making/ I remembered one other option for GBA using BASIC but it's looong unmaintained. https://github.com/uli/dragonbasic
