t.skid
The Crystal Castles article is very interesting; talk about the various home versions, also the 'double' version for the C64: the one from Atari(US Gold), and the Thundervision version; last one, probably the best home version ever of Crystal Castles. NE146
I was ready to jump on him for his "have not" ranking of 2600 CC.. but I guess upon reading it, he did give it some proper due.
Callipygous
Yeah, CC is pretty advanced stuff for the 2600. Could not really rate it above the computer versions. On the Atari 8-bit version, the article seems to indicate 1984 as a release date. This maybe the copyright date, but the cartridge, IIRC , came out in 1988. Article also states that a disk version was available. Does anyone have further info about that? Was it released on disk in Europe?
Randy California
The only official version is the XE cartridge release (with intro screen, slightly enhanced graphics and secret warp). The 1984 game is a bootleg (seems complete though) and was never published. ++ RC ++
