Lauren Tyler
Kaboom!: 524 (Before there was CATS, there was the Mad Bomber setting us up the bomb!) Bumper Bash (1 Ball): 2,345 (Is it me or does the orange spinner in the middle look like a TIE fighter?) 5

Jasonhrb
Not having paddles makes "paddle week" a bit tricky, but we have a great game this time round. Kaboom is about as simple as a game can be, but it just works. The graphics are colourful and fun, the sound suits the game, and in short bursts at least, the gameplay can be utterly absorbing. Just a shame I'm not very good at it!. I'm also really enjoying bumper bash. I'd never played this before but I think it's probably my favourite of the the three pinball games I've played on the 2600. Anyway that's enough from me, here are some scores:
Slider271
Kaboom! is another one I missed out on at the time, nice to be playing it now love how quickly it gets frantic. Bumper Bash is a pinball game I’d never heard of, it plays well with not too bad ball physics! Kaboom!: 1953 Bumper Bash: 20,355

Lauren Tyler
Better score at Kaboom! 1,379 Also Bumper Bash: 4,370. (Honestly, it's a nice pinball simulation, but I'll always prefer good old Video Pinball.) Edited May 5 by Lauren Tyler
Alex_813
Anyone else have a problem with the ball getting stuck on the right side edge of the slingshot in BB? It has happened to me several times. I took a picture of it with 7k bonus and 4x multiplier. It would have been over 34k score since I still had not lost my ball yet. No way to shake the ball loose, so have to reset. 2

People have reported maxing out kaboom (999,999) and I would not question a score's legitimacy based on the gap between scores in a small group of participants. But I do get a kick out of how Atarian7's attached photo looks like something I would have taken in the '80s on my polaroid (not that my photos nowadays are much better) Edited May 6 by UnRedeemed removing "purely" to make sentence clearer

UnRedeemed
bumper bash - 0 Never been a pinball guy, so I was surprised when after fewer than a dozen tries and low scores I suddenly had a breakout game of over 100,000 even before the extra ball despite having almost no idea what I was doing. Natural wizard savant? Turns out I mistakenly left the difficulty switches on b/b, so will have to try again.

It's just peculiar and or impressive at any rate. Not just a gap between between scores but a 50x gap between 1st and the average total scores of everyone else. It sticks out in an anomolistic way. Cleary I don't know Kaboom....

Oh man I was going to make a joke about performance enhancing drugs, but then I remembered the controversy that actually arose in chess circles about caffeine and whether it should be okay for players to have their morning coffee. Kind of sipped all the humor out of me. I don't know kaboom either. Never played it back in the day and my first session with it, this morning, surprised me with how much it reminds me of a driving game (another genre I tend to stink at). Wonder if there is a point where once you get over a hump it stops getting harder or even gets easier. 1

Once you master the 8th wave, you are off to the races. An example: I recommend watching this video and concentrating on following the bombs. It will help train your brain for those high speeds.
