watercooler
I've been saying the name of this game as Ex-ear-ion. Is that right? Also since we're here, what's the correct pronunciation for game company Jaleco? I've always said it as Jal-eh-co, like a calico cat. But is it Jal-E-co, like Coleco?
Cynicaster
Other than Ex-EER-ee-on, what else could it be? That one seems pretty cut and dried to me. As for Jaleco, I'm pretty sure that name originated as a portmanteau for Japan Leisure Company, so for many years I've been saying Ja-LEE-co since that would seem to be more consistent with the origin of the name. But it seems like most people say JA-luh-co, which is how I remember saying it as a kid. And, I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember firing up a console game semi-recently where the company's logo came on the screen and a voice said the name, with the pronunciation being more in line with JA-luh-co. I have no idea what game it was... possibly something on Wii? Not sure.

Every time I think something is a cut and dry pronunciation, I hear someone in the industry say it and I was way off. 😂
BassGuitari
Ex-air-ee-on and Jal-eh-coh. Filtered through my natural tendency to mumble or drawl, my Exerion comes out more like "Egg-zare-ee-an." 🙃
Steven Pendleton
Japanese is a phonetic language, so ジャレコ and エクセリオン are both pronounced exactly as they are written. 2
Austin
JA-le-co. Intros of some of their games pronounce it that way. Edited May 17 by Austin 2

+GoldLeader
Personally, I'd say Ex-Ear-EE-On. Then Jaleco, as either Jal-ick-Oh or Ja-Lee-Co, Though I don't hear them dwell on the hard E for very long.
roots.genoa
As featured in the video, Jaleco is pronounced the Japanese way, so indeed ジャレコ which is "Jareco" but is pronounced (in English) Jah-Lay-Co.
