I really only get to play on the weekends, and given how complicated this final round is, I'm a little worried I might not be able to play at all, or post any scores. Rickster8 Posted May 18 Author Share Posted May 18 My first crack at the FULL DECATHLON. In this run I passed everything except for the Triple Jump. I kept pressing the button and the guy wouldn't jump. I was probably doing something wrong.... Not my greatest score, but I'm on the board. fakecortex Posted May 19 Share Posted May 19 I didn't play this one last time, but to show I'm a good sport I played a full decathlon and even read the instructions before each event Spinning the analog stick on the dualshock3 might be the closest I'm getting to the INTV disc, and at least it didn't exhaust me too much lol. I got fast enough to pass more events than I was expecting. This game wasn't too bad, considering that track and field games are usually a huge pain (especially the 400m). Did better this time. 100m Dash - 11.13 (769 pts); Broad Jump - 7.90 (994 pts); Shot-Put - 14.00 (725 pts); High Jump - 1.75 (633 pts); Triple Jump - 10.60 (823 pts); 110m Hurdles - 13.03 (1,072 pts); Discus Throw - 44.04 (746 pts); Pole Vault - 4.12 (833 pts); Javelin Throw - 82.65 (1,031 pts); 400m Dash - 47.31 (946 pts) = 8,572 pts. My goal was to pass all the events and get over 8,500 pts. I accomplished both on this run. My fingers hurt, my thumbs hurt and my shoulder hurts. I think I'm done... 😜 NOTE: For the Broad Jump and the Triple Jump you have to hold the button in and release it at the fault line. Rickster8 [1st Place] - PLATINUM Dpisacane [2nd Place] - GOLD Lupovax [3rd Place] - SILVER Wolfy62 [4th Place] - BRONZE Great season guys!!! We will take a 7 month break now and start up again on Wednesday January 1st, 2025 with the Inty HSC Season 20. We will play 20 games in 20 weeks. All games will be of the SHOOTING variety. There will be no bonus games, but I plan to throw in like 4 or 5 homebrew games to spice things up a bit. As mentioned before these will be homebrew games that have been made available here on AtariAge.... 👍 Season 20 of the Inty HSC will be my last one as the Moderator.... Not sure what the future will bring, but FOR NOW, I plan to finish Season 20 and move on... Enjoy the time off dudes!!! I did have two thoughts as we reached the end. One was an idea for a future High Score Club. If it hasn't been done before, I thought it could be really fun to have a parallel competition running each week where we play versions of the same game on other platforms (e.g. We play Frogger, and the parallel competition is Frogger on 2600/Colecovision/Arcade/Vic 20/etc.), the more interesting or obscure alternate version or platform, the better. If the game is an Intellivision exclusive, something that is similar or sort of equivalent. Have it be a separate, parallel scoring system, since you wouldn't want to mix Intellivision High scores with other systems. My other thought was simply this, upon reflecting back over the last several months, I was stunned by all of the different platforms and controllers I used to participate in the High Score Club. Off the top of my head, here's what I can remember: Tandyvision One (attached controllers) Intellivision II (default controllers, Long Play Controller, Sears controller, Flashback controller) Intellivision Lives (DS) Intellivision Lives (PS2) Intellivision Lives (GameCube) Retrostone 2 Handheld using Freeintv emulator Nostalgia (Xbox 360 controller, 8bitdo SN30 controller) Jzintv (Xbox 360 Controller, keyboard) Intellivision Flashback Console ---------------- It was fun to think back on all of the different ways I participated, as well as the myriad ways that I experienced Intellivision over the past few months. Yeah that's a cool idea, but I only have Moderator rights for the Intellivision forum. In order to setup a multi-consoled HSC we would need Albert's approval and assistance..... For example: Week 1: Frogger Bonus: Frogger (or The Official Frogger) (2600) Week 2: Congo Bongo Bonus: Congo Bongo (Arcade/MAME) Week 3: Nova Blast Bonus: Defender (C64) Week 4: Pole Position Bonus: Pole Position (Vectrex) Week 5: Burgertime Bonus: Burgertime (Colecovision) Week 6: Space Armada Bonus: Astro Battle (Bally Astrocade) Week 7: Space Hawk Bonus: Asteroids (5200) And so on... I think you get the idea. I'm not thinking of posting on separate forums or anything.
