CG2500
Hello, I just started getting into the hobby of repairing consoles and I successfully managed to fix a 32x! However, I got a sega cd model 1 that has this screen issue when booted up and im not sure what the error could be since it's new stuff for me, is there anyone who can help? Thank you. +-^CrossBow^-
What do you get on the SegaCD BIOS screen if you remove the 32x?
nick3092
Model 1 Sega CD are known to have leaky SMD caps on the main logic board. If they have not been replaced and the board cleaned up, you should start there.
deckard204
I haven't seen a Mega Cd with leaked capacitors yet, but of course it's possible. It may also be a ram issue..
