The box: Jataí is the key to open the box! Manual: Jataí: The Bee (Atari 2600) You are a Jataí bee, part of a species native to Mata Atlântica, Brazil. Your duty is to pollinate flowers, collecting pollen and nectar to feed the hive. During your mission, some enemies will appear: such as small spiders which hang from their web, "Lemon Bees" which attack the hive, and also a large spider that attacks and needs to be stopped. On the title screen, you can choose the game mode by moving the joystick up. In GAME 00, your flight is continuous. Once a direction has been given with the joystick, you will continue flying accordingly until given a new direction. The fire button makes you accelerate. In GAME 01, your flight is controlled with the joystick, but only while a direction is pressed. The fire button does, again, speed you up. GAME 02 is the mode for 2 players: the objective is to pollinate 10 flowers before the other player (using the second joystick). In modes 00 and 01: At the bottom of the screen, lives are represented by squares. On the left, the amount of nectar and pollen collected appears. On screens where there is a frame, you won't be able to touch the edges. As the flowers are pollinated, leaves appear on the screen - and you have to avoid them. After pollination or the loss of a life, you will have a few moments of invincibility. Use them to your advantage. Sometimes it will be necessary to study which flower to pollinate and which to leave behind, as this may influence the success of your endeavor. After a few pollinations, the screen will indicate that you can leave the scenario for the next phase. If all your lives are lost, you can continue, but your score will be reset. Inside the hive, you must find the other Jataí to process the nectar and finally deposit it in the wax pot. And so the cycle continues, with variations at each stage. At some point, the hive may be attacked by Lemon Bees, and your objective will be to defend the entrance, blocking the passage. The bottom-right bar tells you how many attackers are left. And finally, defend the hive from the Queen Spider, by throwing wax at its weak point. The bottom-right bar indicates the enemy's energy. After defeating the spider, a different surprise will happen each cycle. After several phases, the game restarts, this time with a faster Jataí. In 2-player mode, the flowers will be represented by rectangles, and a large obstacle will hinder collection. Whoever pollinates 10 flowers wins!
